No contract for fire truok was aw"rded at this meeting.
Hoved by Gardiner seconded by Rees to awar-d contract on the fire truck on Tuesday
November 17,if possible.Carried.
Council discussed 3.Nayor's Proclamation on "No Parking on streets because of
snow removal."
Hoved by Rees seconded by Kramer to accept resolution for drainage #83 made by
Dallas County Supervisors.Carried 5 to O.
"BE !<ND IT IS llERlcbY hE SOLVED BY THE Board of Supervisors of Dallas County,
Iowa,that as of JA.nUlry 1,1971,ss i.d Dr-a.i.nage District #83 shall be transferred
to the control of the TC1~of Waukee,Iowa ,nd any funds on hand in the Treasurer's
Office,and payment of all outstanding indebtedness,shall also be transferred to
said Town.

Hoved by Gardiner seconded by Kramer to postpone closing the alley between Olson
Bros.and Ed's Tavern until building is torn down.Carried 5 to O.

November 17,1970
Special meeting of the Waukee Town Council was held November 17 with Mayor Boone
presiding and councilmen Rees,Horris,Gardiner and Kramer present.Absent Blessing.
The meeting was called regarding letting of contract for fire truck.Three bids
had been received.
Jerry ,>'right,Fire Chief,met with the council.
Moved by Gardiner sec~nded by Horris to accept
Safety Equipment.Carried 3 to 1 for General.
bid of $28,465.66 from ~eneral
Rees voting for LaFrance.
Heeting adjourned.

A special meeting of the cCl1ncil with the Planning and
held November 30th with the following members present:
and Blessing.Absent -Rees.
Zoning Commission was

Planning commission members present were Neubauer,Wolfe,Stanley,Mertes,Dennis.
Dolmage and Ruby Waugh,secretary to Commission.Also present was Henry Oakes,"\
Engineer and Gary Claude representing Engineering firm from Mason City.I

Gary Claude discussed the sewer agreement with Regional Planning.This study has
been started and is to be completed April 30th.
The group discussed the distant a garage should be from the lot line.There also
was discussion on changing R-2 district from 50 feet to 60 feet.Planning and
Zoning to discuss these problems.
