Waukee,Iowa March 19,1973 The Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa met in regular session on the 19th day of March,1973,at 7:00 o'clock P~M.at the Town Hall,Waukee,Iowa,pursuant to law,and the rules of said Council. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor in the chair and the roll being called there were Present:Bernard Boone,Mayor,in the chair,and the following named Councilmen: Jack Carper David Morris,Harry Jones,George Kramer',r Dro Ronald Blessing Absent:None-..:..:.::.:..:=----------- Councilman Morris introduced and read the resolution next hereinafter set out and moved its adoption,seconded by Councilman Blessing;and after due consideration by the Council,the Mayor put the question upon the adoption of said resolution,and the roll being called,the following named Councilmen voted: Ayes:Blessing,Carpel Morris,Jones,Kramer Nays:None Whereupon the Mayor declared said resolution duly adopted,as follows,to-wit: RESOLUTION WHEREAS,it is considered desirable that the City of Waukee enter into an arrange- ment whereby it may own,use and operate jointly,or provide,for consideration,fire protection to other cities or townships or benefited fire districts as provided in Chapter 357A,Code of Iowa,as amended,fire apparatus,equipment,or facilities and to provide for the purchase, rental or maintenance of such equipment,facilities or services;and WHEREAS said City has a population of less than 101000,and elections therein are governed accordingly and registration of voters is not required,now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa',as follows: I I Section 1.That a special election within the City shall be held on the 23rd day of Apri I r 19731 from 8 :00 0'clock A oM 0'until 8 :00 0'clock P oM.said special election to be voted upon by said voters bring the proposition of whether the City of Waukee should enter into an arrangement whereby it may own,use and operate jointly 1 or provide,for conslderatton, fire protection to other cities or townships or benefited fire districts as provided in Chapter 357A Code of Iowa,as amended,fire apparatus ,equipment,or facilities and to provide for the purchase,rental or maintenance of such equipment,facilities or services. Section 2.That for said election,the entire City of Waukee shall be a single voting precinct and the polling place in said single precinct shall be at the Fire Station in the City of Waukee,Iowa. Section 5.That in compliance with Sections 49.12 et seq.of Chapter 49,Code of lowa,as amended ..the folloWing named persons are hereby appointed judges and clerks of said election for the single voting precinct as hereinbefore designated.
