HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-09-10-Regular Minutes69 I September 19,1973 The regular meeting of the Waukeetmm council was held on September 10,1973 at the town hall with Mayor Boone presiding and the following councilmen present:Harry Jones,Jack Carpe,George Kramer, and Dr Ronald Blessing.Absent:Dan Gardiner. Movedby Carpe,second by Kramer,to approve minutes as read. Carried 4 to O. Curtis Sorenson met with the council regarding changing of zoning for Dr.Doll's office.It was suggested to leave it zoned the same but to increase usage of lot.No action talren. Glenn Fox met with the council regarding the Fall Festival.He suggested that the city install 2 permanent electric hook-ups in the triangle at a cost of $150.00.Movedby Blessing,second by Carpe,to install 2 electric hook ups at a cost of $150.00. Carried 4 to O. Movedby Kramer,second by JOBeS&;to allow Paul Hawbakerto hook- up to city water with all costs to be paid by Hawbaker.Carried4toO. Movedby Jones,second by Blessing,to have town attorney draw up an amendmentto traffic ordinance to include the following stop signs;4 way on 5th St,5 way at East Road and Ashworth, and 4 way at 4th and Ashworth.Carried 4 to O. Changing the parking around the school was discussed but no action taken. Movedby Kramer,second by Jones,to have oi t;J at,torney draw up ordinance on home rule,division 1 ,2,4,div 7,1 and 2.Carried4toO. Movedby Jones,second by Blessing,to televise and clean sewer from East &Bel-Aire to 1st &Be I-Aire ,1st and Bel-Aire to Waukee, and l'block of Waukee.Also to televise 2 blocks of 4th St. Carried 4 to O. Gas chlorination for the water system was discussed by the council.Clerk to get additional bids. Crime Commissionresolution was discussed by the council.It was decided to have the crime commission meet 'lfiLth':the:'council about their policy. Dr Johnson's water problem was discussed by the council.No action taken.
