The Waukee TownCouncil held a Special meeting Harch 29,1974 with the Waukee
Planning and Zoning Commission.This meeting was called regarding Equi tabla
Realty Corporation's desire to plat 80 acrms of the Hester farm which is out
of the Waukee corporate limits.
Neeting was called to order by the Hayor Bernard Boone and the f'ol Lotci.ngCouncil
members present--Carpe,Sears,Jones and Copand.Absent None.Planning and
Zoning members present-··Hugh Grandfield,Dennis Dolraage,Gilbert Stanley,Jim
Berner.Representing Equitable Realty Corp.,TaS engineer David H.Cargill.
Planner Jerry P.Oliver.Vernon B.Hor-ek,Daniel Grindle.Also at this meeting
was City of Waukee Engineer,Henry Oakes .Vir.and Mr-s,Don Rynearson.
Dave Cargill,Engineer for Equitable presented plans to develop this parcel of
ground.He also stated that the town of ,laukee should send a letter to Equitable
Realty Corp.on 6 points.
1.Waukee,has a water system.
2.Waukee,has a sewer system.
3.Waukee,agrees to sell \Vater.4.Waukee will charge same rate.5.WaukeeIVill agree to annexation.
6.,later line to be paid by developer.
Movedby Sears seconded by Copland to instruct Engineer Henry Oa1l:esto make a
study on a routing for the water line from Hester farm back to the \Vater plant.
Also a study of the possibi.li ty of this parcel of property being able to be
se\Vered from the Waukee sewer plant.Carried 4 to O.
Replacement for Kay Ford \Vas discussed by the council.
