HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-09-16-Regular Minutes91 Regular council meeting was held September 16,1974,at the City Hall with Mayor Boone pregiding and the following councilmen present- Bommel,Carpe and Copland.Absent--Larson and Sears.Hannah Weil, acting Clerk in the absense of Remo Ni~~i,who had to attend another meeting. Moved by Bommel,seconded by Carpe to accept the following resolution on Ridgwawy property.Carried 3 to O. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING RIDGWAY ESTATES, PLAT i,A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF WAUKEE,DALLAS COUNTY,IOWA Whereas,Michael G.Ridgway and Barbara Jean Ridgway,his wife have caused to be platted,and which plat is now on file in the office of the City of Waukee,Dallas County,Iowa,which covers the following described real estate,to wit: "Beginning at a point 40.0 feet S.0 29'E.and 1.0 feet S 89 40'W of the S.E.corner of Lot 12,Block 11,Fourth Addition to the Town of Waukee,Dallas County,Iowa,said point also being on the south line of Cherry Street and 36.0 feet S.89 40'W,of the centerline of 7th St. extended;thence N 0 29'E.,along a line parallel with and 36 feet west of the centerline of 7th St.extended 145.0 feet;thence S.89 40'W, 400.0 feet;thence N 0 29'W,145.0 feet;thence N 89 40'E,along the south line of Cherry Street,400.0 feet to the point of beginning. All of the above described parcel being in the SW \NW \of Section 33-79-26,City of Waukee,Dallas County,Iowa and contains approximately 1.33 acres." AND WHEREAS,the said plat subdivides the aforesaid property into five (5)lotR.AND WHEREAS,the said plat has attached to it the follow- ing instruments: 1.An abstract of Title,brought to date. 2.The attorney's opinion. 3.The certificate of the County Recorder of Dallas County,Iowa. 4.The certificate of the Treasurer of Dallas County,Iowa. 5.The Certificate of the Clerk of the District Court of Iowa in and for Dallas County,Iowa. 6.Warrant Deed,Lot A (Cherry Street)Ridgway Estates,Plat 1. NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City council of the City of Waukee,Dallas County,Iowa,that tpe aforesaid subdivision,known as Ridgway Estates,Plat 1,in the City of Waukee,Dallas Cmunty,Iowa be accepted by the City of Waukee,as a subdivision within the corporate limits of the said Waukee,Iowa. Mr.Levorson met with the council representing Safety Commission for the P.T.A. Mr.and Mrs.Farmswotth met with the council regarding excessive noise from "OLD BANK".Drinking outside,late drag racing etc.especially on Friday and Saturday night. Moved by Bommel and seconded by Carpe to pay Iowa Road Builders final payment for storm sewer.$15,541.47.Carried 3 to O. Council discussed making Park Road a one way street going East. Publishing minutes and sending them to all citizens of Waukee was dis- cussed by the council. Agreed to discuss gas rates at special meeting on Oct.5,1974 with CPA Daniel Gardiner. Moved by Bommell seconded by Copeland to purchase a compressor for the water system.Cost $774.33.Carried 3 to O. Moved by Carpe and seconded by Bommel to allow $60 for School instruction for office help.Carried 3 to O. Franks property discussed by Council.
