HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-10-29-Special Minutes93 Special meeting of the Waukee City Council was held October 5,1974, with Mayor Boone presiding and the following named councilmen were present--Sears,Copland,Bommell,and Larson.Absent Carpe. A representative of Gestetner met with the council and presented a display of duplicating equipment and other types of machines.Our present machine is in need of much repair. Moved by Bommel and seconded by Sears to purchase a new Model 420 duplicating machine at a cost of $845 plus our old machine.Carried 4 to O. Moved by Sears and seconded by Bommel to purchase a Model G Folder, at a cost of $372.00.Carried 4 to O. Daniel Gardiner,CPA,met with the council to present the annual audit to the council and mayor. Meetin adjourned. '.".<:~..,4.i~~~~~__CLERK The council of Waukee,Iowa,met in special session on the 29th day October,1974 at 7:30 P.M.,at the city hall,in the municipality. The,mayor presided and the roll was called showing the following members of the council present and absent.Present--Albert Sears,Jack Carpe, Ron Larson and Mervin Bommel.Absent--Harry Copeland. It was moved by council member 6arpe and seconded by council member Bommel that 5 o'clock P,M.on the 3rd day of December,1974,at city hall,in the municipality,be fixed as the time and place for receiving and canvassing bids and considering and passing a resolution for the award of $145,000 General Obligation Sewer Bonds;that the council meet at the said time and place for such purpose and that the Clerk be authorized and directed to publish notice of the said sale in substantially the form hereinafter set out,in a newspaper printed wholly in the English language,published and located in Dallas County,Iowa,once each week for two successive weeks,as required by law.The Mayor put the question on the motion and the roll being called,the following named council members voted:Ayes--Carpe,Larson,Sears and Bommel.
