The Waukee City Council held it's regular council meeting on May 19,
1975 with Mayor Boone presiding and all c01ll1cilmenpresent except
Bommel.

Moved by Carpe,second by Grandfield,to approve minutes as read.
Carried 4 to O.
Ruby Mertes met with the council regarding the maintenance building
on 5th Street.She inquired about remodeling it to be a museum.
Moved by Carpe,second by Grandfield,to appoint Ray Clark to the
county Bi-Cen~Bnnial co~~ittee.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Carpe,second by Grandfield,to appoint Harry Copeland to
the Centennial committee as representative of the council.Carried
4 to O.
Mr Jim Levy met with the council regarding an apartment complex
for people over 62 years of age.This is to be built off 6th Street
on the Paullin property.
Moved by Copeland,second by Carpe,that the council adopt the
following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED that the WaukeeCity Council authorize John Felton,
administrative officer,to grant a building permit on cite plan
for Evergreen Manor as submitted provided permittee grant and
convey an easement to the City of Waukee for utilities and stonn
sewer lines serving said property.
Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Grandfield,second by Larson,to grant Mike Blizek a liquor
permit to operate the Old Bank effective J1llle16,1975.Carried4toO.
Moved by Larson,second by Grandfield,to approve agreement for
special federal census for the City of Waukee at a cost of $1430.00,
with a payment of $1135.00 to be paid now.Carried 4 to O.
~Ioved by Carpe,second by Copeland,to grant the Waukee Meat Market
a beer and cigarette permit.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Carpe,second by Copeland,to approve CIRAIG assessment
of $473,10 from 7-1-75 to 7-1-76.Carried 4 to O.
Water problems were discussed by the council.A special meeting
is to be held on water next ~Ieek.
