HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-09-03-Ordinance 2935_Truck RoutesORDINANCE NO. 2935 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 501, WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE, TRAFFIC REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA, BY AMENDING SECTION 501.29 "TRUCK ROUTES," AS SPECIFIED BELOW WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has determined that certain public streets should be added truck routes ordinance. BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee: Section 1. Chapter 501, Waukee Municipal Code, Traffic Regulations, Section 501.29(A) should be and the same is hereby repealed and enacted in lieu thereof is as follows: §501.29 Truck Routes. A. Every motor vehicle weighing five (5) tons or more, when loaded or empty, having no fixed terminal within the city or making no scheduled or definite stops within the city for the purpose of loading or unloading or commercial stop, shall travel over or upon the following streets within the city and none other: • 6th Street (R-22) between W Hickman Road and the south city limits • NE/SE Alice's Road between SE University Avenue and the north city limits • SE LA Grant Parkway between SE University Avenue and Ashworth Road • SE University Avenue between SE LA Grant Parkway and the east city limits • Ashworth Road between 6th Street (R-22) and the east city limits • W/E Hickman Road between the west city limits and the east city limits • 10t' Street • N. Warrior Lane between Hickman Road to north city limit • NE Douglas Parkway from N. Warrior Lane to NE Badger Lane • Grand Prairie Parkway from SE University Avenue to I-80 • SE Westown Parkway from R-22/Ute Avenue to Grand Prairie Parkway Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
