The Waukee City council held a special meeting on July 30,1977
with Mayor Boone presiding and all councilmen present except Larson.
Moved by Copeland,second by Gruber,that an application for
liquor permit and Sunday sales be approved to Eldon MAnderson
dba Andy's Pizzarena located on Hwy 6 in the City of Waukee,Iowa.
Carried 4 to O.
Meeting adjourned.

SPECIAL MEETING--OCTOBER 3,1977
A special meeting was held on October 3,1977 with Mayor Boone presiding
and the following councilmen present:Luke Gruber,Hugh Grandfield,
Dennis Thompson,Harry Copeland.Absent:Ron Larson.
Moved by Copeland,second by Thompson,that the following petition be
accepted.
WHEREAS,on the 3rd day of October,1977,there have been filed with the
Mayor and Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,petitions of electors
equal in number to ten percent or more of the persons voting at the
preceding regular city election,asking that the following proposition
be submitted to a vote of the electors of the City of Waukee,Iowa:
"Shall the proposition to change the term of office of the
councilman of the City of Waukee,Iowa,from a two-year term
to a four-year term be adopted?"
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA:
1.That the petitions of the electors of the City filed with this
body of the 3rd day of October,1977,asking that the following prop~
osition be submitted to a vote of the electors of the City:
"Shall the proposition to change the term of office of the council-
man of the City of Waukee,Iowa,from a two-year term to a four-
year term be adopted?"
be received and filed.
2.That the proposition as presented shall be submitted to the voters
at a special election to be held on the 8th day of November,1977,
and the county commissioner of elections is directed to publish notice
and conduct the election in accordance with law.
