Moved by Copeland,second by Thompson,to reap~oint administrative officer for building permit at $5.00 Carried 5 to O. employees living in Carried 3 to 2-- John Felton as per hour. Moved by Copeland,second by Grandfield,to issue credit cards to police for telephone calls pertaining to city business.Carried 5 to O. The council discussed equipment needed by the city for the following year:3/4 ton pickup and tractor and snow plow for the maintenance department. The council discussed the SSES study that DEQ is requlrlng from the city.An engineering firm will be interviewed on the 23rd of January concerning this matter. Moved by Copeland,second by Grandfield,to reappoint Remo Nizzi as ClRALG representative with Bernard Boone as alternate.Carried 5 to O. Future projects were discussed by the council but no priorities were given:Streets,annexation,new water filter and larger water lines, feasibility of selling water outside the city limits,24 hour police coverage and upgrading our zoning ordinance and comprehensive plan. Dale Boone's service was terminated as of January 12,1978. '182 J 5.Log reports will be kept completely by all officers and copies submitted EACH DAY to the city administrator. 6.All officers working for City of Waukee must have phone service. Phone numbers must be known to city administrator and Sheriff's office and officers will answer calls. 7.If an officer is ill and cannot go on duty,he must report 5 to 6 hours in advance and make an attempt to get an off-day officer to fill his tour of duty.Exception to this rule is the day shift officer who,if ill,will report to Ray Nizzi at home before shift starts. 8.Patroling will start at assigned time and end at assigned time except in emergency situations--8-4,4-12,12-8,6-2 10-6,--NO ROLL CALL Tum. 9.All officers will be neatly dressed in complete uniform while on tour of duty. 10.All officers on duty will wear protective vests. 11.Complete harmony will always exist among officers.Any will be brought to the city administrator immediately. satisfied by administrator,permission will be given to council. disagreements If not go before 12.Absolutely NO RIDERS while on tour of duty except police personnel or person authorized by city administrator. 13.Prompt response will be made to all calls received by Sheriff's office or citizens. 14.On all shifts tour of duty WATER MUST BE CHECKED EVERY 3 HOURS and reports si8ned.THIS IS A MUST.Any questions--call 987-4004.
