The regular counci.L meeting was held on November 13,1978 with Mayor
Boone presiding and allcouncilmen present except Grandfield.
Moved by Gruber,second by Copeland,to approve minutes as
read.Carried 4 to O.
Roward Leopold asked for an increase in the number of trailers
in his court from 90 to 145.The council advised he must rezone
to allow more trailers.
Moved by Copeland,second by Gruber to instruct city attorney
to draw up resolution regarding 5 acre tracts with special
sewer requirements.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Reddinger,second by Copeland,to approve city attorney
to update city ordinances.Carried 4 to O.
City council discussed the new Motor Fuel Tax Bill enacted by the
legislature during the last General Assembly.
Moved by Copeland,second by Reddinger to consider 4th Street
and 3rd Street for improvements in next years program.Carried
4 to O.
Moved by Gruber,second by Copeland,to approve fire department
package policy insurance to Anton-Hammond-Dunn--premium--$55l.25.
Moved by Thompson,second by Gruber,to apply for matching funds
for equipment for the fire department.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Gruber,second by Copeland to approve insurance package
submitted by Don Corrigan at cost of $10,586.00.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Copeland,second by Reddinger to approve claim of $242.90
for Roger,Phillips,and Swanger concerning hearing regarding
union for police department.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Gruber,second by Thomposn,to approve 2 additional
firemen to school.Carried 4 to O.
Police car was discussed by the council.Clerk is to receive
bids.
