The Waukee City Council held its regular meeting on December 17,1979
with Mayor pro tern Rarry Copeland presiding and the following council-
men present:David White,Robert Reddinger,Dennis Thompson and Larry
Oetting.Absent:Mayor Bernar d Boone.
Moved by Reddinger,second by Oetting to approve minutes as read.
Carried 4 to O.
Rarry Copeland report on the storm sewer through Clayton's.More
information to report in January.
Bob Reddinger made a report on grading of diamonds and that the grading
is finished.
Moved by Oetting,second by White that the recreation committee submit
bills and statements on money received to the City of Waukee and the
City will match money received,not to exceed $2500.00.Carried 4 to O.
Sealed bids were received for the two police cars advertised for sale.
Moved by Thompson,second by Reddinger,to sell 1973 Plymouth to John
Timmons for $101.00.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Thompson,second by Reddinger,to reject all bids on the 1975
Plymouth.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Thompson,second by Oetting,to grant a cigarette permit and
a liquor license to Don Rhiner dba Golden Slipper.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Oetting,second by White,to send a notice to all gas customers
regarding the gas rate increase as prescribed by the Commerce Commission.
Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Reddinger,second by Oetting,to ap~rove Paul Ruschers statement
for updating of ordinances in the amount of ~4 000.00.Carried 4 to O.
City Rall will be closed at 12:00 noon on Christmas Eve day and New Year's
Eve day.Carried 4 to O.
The reorganization meeting of the Waukee city council will be held January
2,1980 at 5:30 p.m.
Moved by Thompson second by White,to pay the claims as presented by
the clerk.Carried 4 to O.
