AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 207A, OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT
OF SUGAR CREEK MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE, BY AMENDING SECTION
207A.11, GOLF AND AMENITY PRICES, WITH LANGUAGE FOR RATES TO BE SET
BY RESOLUTION OF THE WAUKEE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Chapter 207A, Waukee Municipal Code, sets forth provisions for the
governance of the operation, management and use of Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course; AND,
WHEREAS, it is determined that golf and amenity prices and rates for Sugar Creek
Municipal Golf Course shall be approved and set by the Waukee City Council by resolution and
not by ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1: Chapter 207A, Waukee Municipal Code, Section 207A.11 should be and the
same is hereby amended as follows:
§207A11. Golf and Amenity Prices.
Prices and rates charged for golf and amenities at Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course shall be
set by resolution of the council. Said rates and charges shall apply to all persons playing Sugar
Creek Municipal Golf Course.
Section 2. Repealer. Any and all ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed and shall be of no further effect.
Section 3. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section, provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage, approval
and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council this 29t' day of January, 2020, and approved this 20t' day of January, 2020.
