RESOLUTION 2021-116
APPROVAL OF A GRANT AWARD TO BOWTRUSS PROPERTIES, LLC [450 6TH STREET]
AS PART OF THE DOWNTOWN TRIANGLE BUSINESS PROPERTY IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, on August 17, 2020, the Waukee City Council approved a Waukee Triangle Business
Property Improvement Program (Resolution #2020-313) to make financial assistance available to
businesses, organizations, and property owners within Downtown Waukee for the renovation and
upgrade of older commercial, office, and mixed use properties within the designated Waukee Triangle
Property Improvement District; AND,
WHEREAS, Bowtruss Properties, LLC, owner of Old Station Craft Meats at 450 6th Street, has
submitted a Waukee Triangle Property Improvement Program Application requesting grant funding in
the amount of $35,000.00 equal to 6.1 % of the total project costs associated with the building remodel
and renovation; AND,
WHEREAS, the Application submitted for the building improvements is in conformance with the
guidelines, terms, and conditions set forth in the Downtown Triangle Business Property Improvement
Program; AND,
WHEREAS, Property Improvement Program Grants are awarded as a reimbursement for the actual
costs incurred by the applicant after the project has been completed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 5th
day of April, 2021 that a Grant Award in the amount of $35,000.00 is approved for the building
improvements at 450 61h Street.
