A lengthy discussion was held on Glenview Manor concerning the
installation of natural gas in this development,progress on the
easement for the gravity flow sewer,and presentation of the
preliminary plat for Council approval.
Moved by Wilson,second by Stork,to have Harry Jones meet with
the City engineer concerning the gas location within the easements
in Glenview Manor.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Stork,second by Barrett,to amend Section 303.167 of
the Waukee Municipal Code by adding thereto,the following:
"Within ninety (90)days of meter installation
or upon permanent occupancy of the principal
building on a lot in the new subdivision,a
refund shall be made to the subdivider,of
the costs of materials and installation of the
gas main,pro-rated as to said lot,based upon
the cost per foot up to a maximum of 80 feet
per lot."
and hold a public hearing on the proposea amendment on March
13,1984 at 7:30 p.m.at the City Hall.Carried 4 to O.
The proposed FY 84-85 budget was briefly discussed at this time.
Considering the time,the Mayor set Monday,February 27,1984
at 7:30 p.m.to discuss the proposed budget at length.
The proposed FY 84-85 budget hearing and the Federal Revenue
Sharing hearing was set for March 13,1984 at 7:30 p.m.
Joe Stork expalined the Olympic qualifying bicycle race that
will be held in Waukee on May 5 to the Council..
Moved by Rees,second by Barrett,to adjourn at 10:30 p.m.

A special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order
at 7:30 p.m.by Mayor Gordon Christianson.Brian J.Redshaw,
City Clerk/Administrator,was present and taking minutes.A
roll call was taken as follows:Present:Barrett,Wilson,Rees,
and Stork.Absent:Hinkson.
The following guests were also present:Bob Applegate,Don Henson,
Judy Henson,Virginia Oetting,Dena Forret,and Chet Chedester.
Moved by Rees,second by Wilson,to approve the publication of
a NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING on a proposed budget in the amount of
$1,364,568.00 in the Dallas County News on March 1,1984.Carried
4 to O.
Moved by Barret,second by Wilson,to set the date for public hearing
on this proposed budget for March 13,1984 at 7:30 p.m.Carried
4 to O.
Moved by Rees,second by Barrett,to set the date for public hearing
on the FY 84-85 Federal Revenue Sharing funds for March 13,1984
at 7:30 p.m.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Rees,second by Barrett,to adjourn at 8;38 p.m.Carried
4 to O.
