Walt Hinkson gave the Utilities report.A discussion of putting a
voltage strip chart on Well #2 now and Well #1 after it is repaired

The Mayor's report was given.He commended the Fire Department and
the First Responders for the July 4th celebration.
Merle Rees reported on the water problem on Kaylin Drive.
Brian Redshaw gave the Administrator's report.He reported on the
summer recreation program.A request was made for dome garbage can
lids at an approximate cost of $36.00 each.The Council authorized
the purchase of 6 of these lids.He also reported that Campbell
Flying Service will also spray the trailer court for mosquitos at
a charge of $150.00 more.The Council gave their approval for spraying
the trailer court.
The proposed dog runs at the police station was questioned.The main-
tenance crew is to get started on it.

August 7,1984
A special meeting of the Waukee City Council was held on August 7,1984
and was called to order at 7:32 p.m.by Mayor Gordon Christianson.
A roll call was held and all Councilmen were present.
Guests and staff at this meeting were:Lee Felt,Brian Redshaw,Roger
Buffington,Paul Huscher,Don Henson,and Ann Ford.
Lee Felt spoke to the Council regarding his garden spot on City property
which will be destroyed due to the excavation work that will be done
on the lagoon dredging project.He advised the Council of the plants,
vegetables,and time he would lose as a result of this and gave an
estimate of his loss at $660.00.Paul Huscher addressed the Council
regarding his matter.
Moved by Hinkson,second by Stork,to offer $300.00 to Lee Felt for
damage to his garden.Carried 5 to O.Mr Felt accepted this offer.
Walt Hinkson reported on meetings with earth movers and the following
bids were submitted:
