A special meeting of the Waukee City Council
at 7:32 p.m.by Mayor Gordon Christianson.
was present and taking minutes.
was called to order

A roll call was taken and the following named City Councilmen were
present:Barrett,Rees,and Stork.Absent:Hinkson.
Moved by Stork,second by Barrett,to approve Class.C beer permits
and Sunday Sales privileges for the Waukee Emporium and Casey's
General Stores,Inc.Carried 3 to O.
The Mayor asked Mr Harry Jones if he would desire a closed session
as the purpose of this meeting was his employment evaluation.
Mr Jones requested a closed session.
Moved by Rees,second by Barrett,to move into a closed session
pursuant to Chapter 28A.5:1.i of the Code of Iowa 1983.Carried
3 to O.-
A closed session was held with the City Council,Mr Redshaw,and
Mr Jones.
Moved by Rees,second by Stork,to move into open session.Carried3toO.
Moved by Stork,second by Rees,to retain Mr Harrv Jones in his
present position with a better understanding of his job responsib-
ilities.Carried 3 to O.
Councilman Barrett requested a performance update to Mr Jones'
job evaluation to be presented at the December 11 meeting.
The City Council discussed the formulation of an agreement with the
Waukee Community Schools for the removal of snow on its parking
areas at both buildings.Mr.Clair Eason,school superintendent,
represented the school before the City Council.
Mayor Christianson appointed Merle Rees and Joe Stork to a snow
committee which will meet with Mr.Eason on November 21 at 7:30 p.m.
at City Hall to discuss the details and rate of compensation for
the agreement.
Moved by Rees,second by Barrett,to give the City Administrator
authority to hire a part-time individual at a rate of $5.00 per
hour to assist in the crack filling operation.Carried 3 to O.
Moved by Rees,second by Barrett,to adjourn at 8:56 p.m.CarriE£[
