Brian Redshaw gave the Administrator's report.He asked the Council's
advise on the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for Kid's Company
and the Council advised him to issue the certificate.
Moved py Hinkson,second by Rees,to approve the purchase of water
clamps--(6-4"--4.45-4.73 OD)&(5-4"--4.74-5.14 OD)at a cost of
$70.95 each and l-6"--7.05-7.450D at $85.00 each.Carried 5 to O.
Roger Buffington reported that he had received a letter and plans
regarding the storm shelter at the trailer park.
Moved by Gruber,second by Barrett,to adjourn at 9:41 p.m.Carried
5 toO.

A special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order
on October 21,1985 at 7:00p.m.by Mayor Gordon Christianson.
A roll call was taken and the following named Councilmen were present:
Hinkson,Barrett,Rees,and Stork.Absent:Gruber.
The following guests and staff were also present:Brian J.Redshaw,
Roger L Buffington,Marc Stiles,Dan Cunningham,Debra Cunningham,
and Larry J Phillips.
Roger Buffington recommended acceptance of the proposed storm
shelter at Midwest Mobile Home Court.
Moved by Rees,second by Stork,to approve the plans.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Stork,second by Barrett,to adjourn at 7:10 p.m.Carried
4 to O.
Meeting adjourned.

A special mee t fngrof the Waukee City Council was held on October
29,1985 and was called to order at 7:30 p.m.by Mayor Gordon
Christianson.
A roll call was taken and the following Councilmen were present:
Barrett,Gruber,Hinkson,Rees,and Stork.
Guests and staff at this meeting were:Marc Stiles,Dennis Snyder,
Roger Buffington,Kelly Rinehart,John Shoeman,Gary Kraft,Don
Henson,Brian J Redshaw,Jerry Roberts,Francis ,veil,John Rinehart,
and Ray Pater.
Joe Stork brought the City Council up to date on the present status
of the South Dallas Count.yt.Landf Ll.L Association and its negotiations
with United Brick &Tile Co.
Moved by Hinkson to begin taking garbage to the North Dallas CountyhLandfillinPerryandtogivenoticetotheSouthDallasCounty
Landfill Association of our intention to withdraw from the group
effective January 1,1987.The motion was seconded by Rees.Motion
failed 2 to 3.

Dennis Snyder and Roger Buffington from Snyder &Associates presented
their findings in their recently completed sanitary sewer study.
A lengthy discussion ensued with the matter to be referred to the
Utilities Committee to study alternate financing methods for the
proposed sewer improvements.
Brian Redshaw advised the Council that a public meeting would be
held at 7:30 p.m.on November 18 at the Hethodist Church to discuss
the Waukee Improvement Survey.Norm Riggs,extension specialist,
will be present to describe the survey techniques as well as discuss
the implications of the findings.
Moved by Stork,second by Gruber,to adjourn at 9:30 p.m.Carried
5 to O.

November 4,1985
A special meeting of the ivaukee City Council was called to order
at 7:02 p.m.by Mayor Gordon Christianson.
A roll call was taken and the following named Councilmen were present:
Gruber,Barrett,Rees,and Stork.Absent:Hinkson.
Mark Broderick requested a variance from the requirement mandating
asphalt or portland concrete for an off-street parking area for
Waukee Mini-storage.
Moved by Stork,second by Rees,to allow a variance for rock parking
for Waukee Mini-storage.Carried 4 to O.
Starting salary for police officers was discussed.
Moved by Gruber,second by Barrett,to approve starting pay for
police officer at $14,500.00.Carried 4 toO.
Moved by Gruber,second by Barrett,to adjourn at 7:38 p.m.Carried
4 to O.

on November 12,1985 at 7:30 p.m.by Mayor Pro-tern Bob Barrett.
