WORK SESSION MEETING
May 1, 2020
*Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and
21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council was conducted electronically as holding the meeting
in person was impossible or impractical.
The work session meeting of the Waukee City Council came to order at 8:00 a.m. at Waukee City Hall, 230
W. Hickman Rd. and electronically via Zoom pursuant to the electronic meeting provisions of Iowa Code
Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8.
The following members were present: Mayor Courtney Clarke; Council Members Anna Bergman
(electronically), R. Charles Bottenberg (electronically), Chris Crone, Larry R. Lyon (electronically), Ben
Sinclair.
Also in attendance: City Administrator Tim Moerman, Development Services Director Brad Deets, City Clerk
Rebecca D. Schuett, Lyle Sumek with Lyle Sumek Associates, Inc. (electronically).
Work Session: Goal setting and strategic planning for FY2021, second session — Mr. Sumek lead the
council through continued discussions on possible goals for FY2021, with the council selecting their top and
high priority goals.
