Section 3.The Hayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized and ordered to enter into a written contract
w~th said contractor for the Project,said contract not to be
binding until approved by resolution of this Council.
Section 4.The amount of the contractor's performance
and/or payment bonds is hereby fixed and determinted to be 100%
of the amount of the contract.

30,1987 and was called to order at 7:00 p rm ,by 1-1ayorGordon
Christianson.Brian J.Redshaw was present and taking minutes.
A roll call was held and all-Councilmen were present except Brown.
Guest at this meeting wa~Che~Chedester.

The regular meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order
on December 8,1987 at 7:30 p.m.by Hayor Gordon Christianson.
A roll call was held as follows:Present:Tovrea,Brown,Hoifeldt,
and Stork.Absent:Gruber.

regarding appointments to the Library Board.
Hoved by Tovrea,second by Hoifeldt,to approve Josephine Barnes to
the Waukee Library Board.Carried 4 to O.
Chet Chedester spoke to the Council regarding the letter addressed
to them last month and the response received from Hayor Christianson.

After due consideration arid'discussion,Council l1ember Stork intro-
duced and moved the adoption of the resolution next herein set out,

the same being a resolution approving executed contract and perform-
ance and/or payment bonds for the Waukee,Iowa-1987 Annexation Area
Water l1ain Project.The motion was seconded by Council Member Brown
and passed with record vote as follows:

Thereupon,the resolution was declared adopted,as follows:
RESOLUTION NO.68A
Approving contract and performance and/or payment bonds for the
Waukee,Iowa-1987 Annexation Area Water l1ain Project
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,has
heretofore awarded a contract as follows:

orized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the said contract on
behalf of the City subject to the approval of the Council;and
WHEREAS,the said contract has been duly signed by the contract-
or and by the Mayor and City Clerk,and upon examination by this
Council the same appears to be in proper form;and
WHEREAS,the contractor has filed satisfactory performance

City Planning Services were discussed.This item will be discussed
further after the first of the year.
The repair of Well #1 was discussed.

Moved by Stork,second by Tovrea,to have Northway Well &Pump
Co pull well #1 and put in a new stainless steel pump.Carried
4 to O.
No action was taken on the repair of the back~up pump.
Moved by Stork,second by Hoife1dt,to accept Bart Weller's
resignation effective December 17.Carried 4 toO.
Moved by Hoife1dt,second by Stork,to have Paul Huscher draw up
a 28E agreement with Dallas County.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Stork,second by Tovrea,to sign the 28E agreement with
the City of Clive.Carried 4 toO.
Sealed bids were opened for the 1973 International pickup.
Moved by Tovreato approve Jim Phillips'bid in amount of $200.00.
Motion died for lack of a second.
Hove d by Hoife1dt,second by Stork,to rej ect all bids on the
1973 International pickup.Carried 4 toO'.
Moved by Tovrea,second by Brown,to hire'KAL,Inc.to check for
cathodic leak at a daily rate of $400.00,not to exceed $1200.00.

Mayor Christianson thanked Tom Tovrea for serving on the Council
and presented his nameplate.
Moved by Stork,second by Brown,to adjourn at 10:20 p.m.Carried

December 15,1987 at 7 :00 p.m.by Mayor Gordon Christianson.
A roll call was taken and all Councilmen were present except

The Mayor announced this was ,the time and place set for hearing
and inspection of bids for the proposed Waukee,Iowa-1987 High
Press.ure Natural Gas Feeder HaiD Proj e ct ,
Upon investigation,it was found that no persons had appeared
and filed objections for the proposed plans,specifications or
contract for or cost of such Waukee,Iowa-1987 High P're s su re
Natural Gas Feeder.Main"project,as follows:
Council HemberStork introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption,seconded by Council Member Tovrea;and after
due consideration thereof by the Council,the Mayor put the
question upon the motion and the roll being called,the following
named members of the Council voted:

Whereupon,the Mayor declared the said motion duly carried and
