A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CURRENT BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
JUNE 30,1990 AS AMENDED LAST ON JULY 11,1989.d
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa:
Section 1.Following notice published November 30,1989 and the
pUblic hearing held December 12,1989,the current budget (as
previously amended)is amended as set out herein and in the detail by
fund type and activity that supports this resoltuion which was
considered at that hearing:

in reference to the Christian Church proposal.Ray Clark and Paul

Joe Avila,who is applying for a Class C liquor license and Sunday sales
for the Gold Dust Lounge,answered questions from the Council.

license and Sunday sales for the Gold Dust Lounge.A roll call vote was
taken as follows:

2 proposal were received for long term disability insurance for City
employees.
Moved by Scott,second by Bailey,to approve the proposal from Schools
Insurance Program.Carried 4 to O.Effective date--1-1-90.
The change order #1 for Holbrook Construction was not completed at this

of Adjustment for a term of 5 years.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Hoifeldt,second by Scott,to proceed with design of East St.
Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Bailey,second by Hoifeldt,to proceed with the REAP grant
application.Carried 4 to O.
No action was taken at this time on the Fire Department by-laws.
Moved by Bailey,second by Scott,to approve the purchase of hams or
turkeys for current City employees to enhance their productivity.
Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Barrett,second by Hoifeldt,to accept the Southfork gas
project.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Hoifeldt,second by Scott,to adjourn at 9:41 p.m.Carried 4 too.

December 16,1989
A emergency meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order at
8:00 a.m.by Mayor Floyd Rosenkranz on December 16,1989.
Councilmen present:
and Scott.
Bailey,Gruber and Hoifeldt.Absent:Barrett
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the various options
available to supplying the high school with natural gas service.The
high school was called off on Thursday,December 14 and Friday,
December 15 due to low gas pressure which did not allow the roof top
units to operate correctly.Brian Redshaw advised the Council that
Iowa Pipeline could do the work of installing a 3"gas line and
regulator station at the 5 corners for approximate cost of between
$8000 and $10,000.
Moved by Hoifeldt,second by Gruber,to authorize the installation of
a 3"gas line and regulator station by Iowa Pipeline.
Moved by Gruber,second by Hoifeldt,to adjourn at 8:40 a.m.
