December 16,1989 A emergency meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order at 8:00 a.m.by Mayor Floyd Rosenkranz on December 16,1989. Councilmen present: and Scott. Bailey,Gruber and Hoifeldt.Absent:Barrett The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the various options available to supplying the high school with natural gas service.The high school was called off on Thursday,December 14 and Friday, December 15 due to low gas pressure which did not allow the roof top units to operate correctly.Brian Redshaw advised the Council that Iowa Pipeline could do the work of installing a 3"gas line and regulator station at the 5 corners for approximate cost of between $8000 and $10,000. Moved by Hoifeldt,second by Gruber,to authorize the installation of a 3"gas line and regulator station by Iowa Pipeline.
