Carried 5 to O. Moved by Gruber,second by Bailey,to adjourn at 10:30 p.m.Carried 5 to O. Meeting adjourned. ;/ May 21,1990 The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m.by Mayor Pro-Tern Raymond Clark.Brian J.Redshaw was present and taking minutes. Guests present were:Mike Lake,Nancy Timmons,Jim Arrasmith,Louis Baer,Bob Sayre,Mark Broderick,Phil Broderick,Joan HeskettL Jack Wearmouth,Steve Pierce,Marty Olson,GUy LeMar,Gil Northway,Jerald Steele,Chuck Hoffa,Beth Dolbey,Randy Foster,Kirk Tyler,Floyd Royer. A roll call was taken and the following named Councilmen were present: Gruber,Bailey,Barrett,Clark.Absent Scott. The origioal purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibility of extending 6th street north into the Waukee Development Corporation Area.~,.... Curtis Scott arrived at 8:14p.m. A motion was made to have the City Engineer to study the proposal of having two accesses on Highway 6 in the vicinity of the intersection of Sixth Street and Highway 6.Motion died for lack of second. Moved by Scott,second by Bailey,to approve a temporary sign until November 1,1990 for Atlantic Bottling. Ayes: Nays: Gruber,Bailey,Scott,Barrett,Clark None recorded A discussion on the acquisition of the 162 Street 12 inch water line was postponed until June 12. Ayes: Nays: Scott,Gruber,Clark,Barrett,Bailey None recorded Discussion on Library funding opclons was postponed until June 12 to allow time to receive information from Robert Josten of the Belin Law Firm. No action was taken on the revised cost estimate and five year agreement for the 142nd Street pavement project pending an explanation from Snyder and Associates regarding the increase in the orginal cost estimate from $406,000 to $537,713.Waukee share increases from $36,540 to $48,394 with revisions to be made for annexation areas. The City Council directed the City Administrator to proceed with the draft of an annexation moratorium agreement with the City of West Des Moines.The East West boundary would be Waco Place (1 mile west of the Des Moines Golf and Country Club)and the North South boundary would be Interstate 80.Moved by Gruber,second by Scott,Carried 5 '-leO. Moved by Scott,Second by Bailey,to establish westline on 6th Street by Bishop Engineering to establish 30 foot setback with cost sharing on pole movement.Carried 5 to O.This motion pertains to the extent ion of 6th Street north of Highway 6 in the Waukee Development Corporation. Jack Wearmouth presented a Comprehensive Plan update.The next meeting on the plan will be Wednesday,May 23,1990 at 8:00 p.m.at the Fire Station 355 -7th Street. Moved by Gruber,second by Barrett to set May 30,1990 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Station,355 -7th Street for a F.Y.89-90 Budget Amendmen hearing in the amount of $173,846.Carried 5 to O.A planning meetin with Jack Wearmouth will immediately follow the hearing at 8:00 p.m. Moved by Gruber,second by Barrett to approve the street dance liquor license for the Waukee Jaycees.Carried 5 to O.
