Floyd W.Rosenkranz MAYOR Attest :_......:.Do=n......:.Lc.:........:.B.=a.=i.=l.=e"-y-'-,---=-Jr=-=-._ Street Sweeper Purchase.After receiving the bids submitted,the Mayorasked if there was a program offered that was similar to the purchase/trade-in programs the City has for the backhoe and end-loader.The vendors explained that because there is not a secondary market for street sweepers,similar trade-in programs are not available however payment plans to fit budget requirements could be worked out.Since purchase of a street sweeper was not budgeted in this fiscal year nor in the next fiscal year no further action was taken. Corene Acres Plat 12 Pedestrian Easemmt.The owners of lots 18 and 19 of Corene Acres Plater 12 requested that the City abandon the 10 foot public pedestrianway easement because the easement leads to private property that the City has no intention to purchase and develope into the park system in the foreseeable future.After review of the easement location and further discussion,a motion was made by CouncilmanDuroy,seconded by Councilman Clark,to abandon the 10 foot public pedestrianway easement between lots 18 and 19 of Corene Acres Plat 12.A roll call vote was taken.Ayes:Clark,Duroy,Grube Nayes:Nonerecorded.Absent:Bailey,Scott.Motion carried 3 to O. Section 1.Section 111.7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by inserting in lieu of "one thousand dollars (1,000.00)"therein,"two thousand dollars (2,000.00)",so that said section reads as follows: §111.7.Purchasing-orders.All purchases of services supplies and equipnent shall be made only after issuance of a purchase order,and no invoice shall be accepted unless authorized by such an order.Purchases not exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000.00)may be made by the Clerk or those officials authorized by the Clerk, but only on issuance of a spot purchase order in writing signed by the authorized officer.A copy of such spot purchase order must be delivered to the clerk within twenty-four (24)hours,weekends and holidays excepted.All other purchases shall be valid only if a purchase order has been given in writing and signed by the clerk.
