The Special Meeting of the WaukeeCity Council was called to order at 7:05 P.M.by Mayor
Floyd Rosenkranz with Brian J.Redshawpresent and taking minutes.OCtober 19,1992.
A roll call was taken and the City Councilmenwere present:Gruber,Bailey,Clark and
Duroy.Absent:Scott.

Doralyn Underberg,Bob Underburg,Marsha Schmidt,Harry Copeland,Phillip Holiday,Tim
Royer,Dianna Van Zee,Don Henson,Lee Husted,Bob Evans,Janet Blazanin,Toni Lestina,
and Marilea Morris.

for a FY 92-93 Budget AmendmentHearing for the Fire Department in the amount of
$5,441.00.A roll call vote was taken and the following Councilmenvoted:Ayes:Gruber,
Bailey,C"lark,and Duray.Nayes:None recorded.Absent:Scott.Motion ca=ied 4 to O.
FY92-93 Budget Amendmentof $5,441.00 is for the replacement of the fire station roof.
The Personnel Committeerecommendspermanent status for Jim De Witt,Jr.and Brian will
rerrove the comrrentsregarding extended probation from Jim's personnel file.Movedby
CouncilmanBailey,seconded by CouncilmanDuroy that Jim De Witt,Jr.,be madepermanent
full time status ..effective 7/16/92 with the approve recommendationsbeing implemented
Motion carried 4 to O.
The City Council addressed Harry Copeland's request to amendR-2 front yard requirements
in the west side of town.
Brian Redshawis to survey that part of town and determine what the existing setbacks are
currently and determine what type of amendmentwould be necessary.
Steve Pierce of Veenstra &Kimmreported the status of the Alice's Road and Sahu Acres
waterline projects.He indicated that plans and specs wouldbe available on Nov 2nd for
Novemberconstruction.The Sahu Acres project would be presented subsequent to that date.
Brian Redshawwill be working with Frank Duroy on developing a Maintenance Shed Heating
System proposal.
Movedby Gruber,seconded by Duray,to approve the minutes of October 5,1992.Motion
ca=ied 4 to O.
The City Council discussed contract meter reading.
The Mayorappointed Leonard Gutshall to the Parks Committeeeffective November1st.
Movedby Duroy,seconded by Gruber to appoint Jeff McCorgeto a five year term on the
Board of Adjustment effective immediately.Motion carried 4 to O.
The City Council elected to wait until November2nd to adopt the ComprehensivePlan as
Amended.John Kursitus will draft the amendmentsfor presentation at that time.
Steve Pierce discussed the Windfield Final Plat and proposed east side TIF improvements.
Movedby Duroy,seconded by Bailey,to recommend2 Sub-division ordinance changes.

Nick Gruber presented the Public Safety Report.
Ray Clark presented the Library Report.
Brian Redshawreported a conversation he had with Paul E.Huscher concerning the proposed
CokeWaterline Agreement.Paul is waiting for TomHansons information on the Jaques
waterline which he expects on 10/20/92.
Brian Redshawpresented the Administrator's Report.
