The Wednesday,June 2,1993 WaukeeCity Council special meeting was clled to order at
7:00 P.M.by Mayor Floyd W.Rosenkranz with Bob Barrett taking minutes.
Roll was taken and the following Councilmenwere present:DonBailey,Jr,Ray Clark,
and Curt Scott.Absent:Frank Duroy and Nick Gruber.
Staff and guests present:Brian Redshaw,Bill Forbes,Don Henson,Bob Schwery and Dave
Melz.
setting Date For Hearing And Letting Fbr The Hickrran West Industrial Park Irrproverrents.
Motion by Councilman Clark and seconded by Councilman Scott to approve Resolution No.
259 setting June 21,1993 at 11:00 A.M.in City Hall as the tirre and place for bid
opening and June 28,1993 at 7:00 P.M.in City Hall as the time and place for the
X public hearing for bid acceptance and contract awarding of the HickmanWest Industrial
Park improvements at the Engineer's estimated construction cost of $947,125.00.The
Mayorput the question upon the adoption of the resolution,and the roll being called,
the following Councilmenvoted:Ayes:Bailey,Clark and Scott.Nayes:None recorded.
Absent:Duroy and Gruber.Motion carried 3 to O.
Motion by Councilman Bailey and seconded by Councilman Clark to authorize Veenstra &
Kimm to secure easements and right of ways necessary for the project.Motion carried 3
to O.
Equiprent Tax Abaterrent.A letter received from the Board of Supervisors expressing
concern about the possibility of machinery and equipment being exempted from property
tax rolls was received.
Closing of Bel -Aire on Jtme 11th.Motion by Councilman Scott and seconded by
CouncilmanClark to approve the closing of Bel -Aire on June 11,1993 from 6:00 P.M.
to 9:00 P.M.to accommodatea block party for the residents of the block.Motion
carried 3 to O.
CouncilmanDuroy arrived at 7:21 P.M.
U.S.E.S.AgencyAgreerrent.Motion by CouncilmanScott and seconded by CouncilmanClark
to enter an agency agreement with U.S.E.S.Motion carried 4 to O.
Personnel Matters.The Personnel Committeewill be meeting on June lOth with Harry to
discuss his future retirement,job description and replacement qualifications.
Adjournrrent.Motion by Councilman Scott and seconded by CouncilmanBailey to adjourn.

CouncilmanBaney to approve:Resolution No.260 setting June 21,1993 at 11:00 A.M.in
City Hall as the time and place for the bid opening and June 28,1993 at 7:00 P.M.in
City HaJ.l as the t ime and place for the public hearing for bid acceptance and contract
awarding of the HickmanWst Industrial Park Improvementsproject consisting of installation
of underground utHities,grading and paving of Laurel and Walnut Streets,Industrial
Park to University Avenueat the Engineer's estimated construction cost of $723,740,
Resolution No.261 to submit the RISE application Industrial Park project consisting of
grading and paving of Alice's Road to the south edge of the Industrial Park at the
Engineer's estimated construction cost of $193,776.The Mayorput the question upon
the adoption of the resolutions,and the roll being called,the following Councilmen
voted:Ayes:Bailey,Duroy and Scott.Nayes:none recorded.Absent:Clark and Gruber.
Motion carried 3 to o.
