7:00 P.M.by Mayor Floyd W.Rosenkranz with Bob Barrett taking minutes.
Roll was taken and the following Councilmen were present:Don Bailey,Jr,Ray Clark,
and Curt Scott.Absent:Frank Duroy and Nick Gruber.
Staff and guests present:Brian Redshaw,Bill Forbes,Don Henson,Bob Schwery and Dave
Melz.
Setting Date For Hearing And Letting Fbr The Hickman West Industrial Park Inyrovements.
Motion by Councilman Clark and seconded by Councilman Scott to approve Resolution No.
259 setting June 21,1993 at 11:00 A.M.in City Hall as the time and place for bid
opening and June 28,1993 at 7:00 P.M.in City Hall as the time and place for the
X public hearing for bid acceptance and contract awarding of the Hickman West Industrial
Park improvements at the Engineer's estimated construction cost of $947,125.00.The
Mayor put the question upon the adoption of the resolution,and the roll being called,
the following Councilmen voted:Ayes:Bailey,Clark and Scott.Nayes:None recorded.
Absent:Duroy and Gruber.Motion carried 3 to O.
Motion by Councilman Bailey and seconded by Councilman Clark to authorize Veenstra &
Kimm to secure easements and right of ways necessary for the project.Mob,on carried 3
to O.
Eguir:rnentTax Abatem=nt.A letter received from the Board of Supervisors expressing
concern about the possibility of machinery and equipment being exempted from property
tax rolls was received.
Closing of Bel -Aire on June Ll.th,Motion by Councilman Scott and seconded by
Councilman Clark to approve the closing of Bel -Aire on June 11,1993 from 6:00 P.M.
to 9:00 P.M.to accamodate a block party for the residents of the block.Motion
carried 3 to O.
Councilman Duroy arrived at 7:21 P.M.
U.S.E.S.Agency Agreerrent.Motion by Councilman Scott and seconded by Councilman Clark
to enter an agency agreement with U.S.E.S.Motion carried 4 to O.
Personnel Matters.The Personnel Committee will be meeting on June lOth with Harry to
discuss his future retirement,job description and replacement qualifications.
Adjournment.Motion by Councilman Scott and seconded by Councilman Bailey to adjourn.

Councilman Bailey to approve:Resolution No.260 setting June 21,1993 at 11:00 A.M.in
City Hall as the t irre and place for the bid opening and June 28,1993 at 7:00 P.M.in
City Hall as the time and place for the public hearing for bid acceptance and contract
awarding of the Hickman \,"stIndustrial Park Improvements project consisting of installation
of underground utilities,grading and paving of Laurel and Walnut Streets,Industrial
Park to University A,renue at the Engineer's estimated construction cost of $723,740;
Resolution No.261 to submit the RISE application Industrial Park project consisting of
grading and paving of Alice's Road to the south edge of the Industrial Park at the
Engineer's estimated construction cost of $193,776.The Mayor put the question upon
the adopt.ion of the resolutions.and the roll being called,the following Counc.ilmen
voted:Ayes:Bailey,Duroy and Scott.Nayes:none recorded.Absent:Clark and Gruber.
