The January 4th,199,Waukee Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.by Mayor Donald L.Bailey,
Jr.at Waukee City Hall.
Roll Call.The Mayor asked for a roll call vote and the following Council Members were present:Nick
Gruber,Marvin Berger,Mayor Don Bailey,Robyn Heath,Bill Peard,Larry Lyon.Absent:None.
Open Forum.None.

PROPERTY THEREIN FROM R-2 (ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT)TO R-3
(MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT)AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO
SHOW RE-ZONING.l)
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Section 301.4 of Chapter 301,Waukee Municipal Code,Zoning Ordinance of the
City,adopting the Official Zoning Map,is hereby amended by changing the following described real estate
from R-2 (One and Two Family Residential District)to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential District),and that the
Official Zoning Map be made to reflect such amendment:

NORTHERN CORPORATE LIMIT OF WAUKEE TO A POINT 2,500 FEET SOUTH OF SAID POINT

Section 1.Pu r pose.The purpose of this ordinance is prohibit parking along the first 2,500 feet
inside the northern boundary of the corporate limits of Waukee,on the west side of Alice's Road so as to
assist in the provision of safe passage along said public right-of-way.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 502.5,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,BY
DELETING SAID SECTION AND PLACING IN LIEU THEREOF SECTION 502.5 AS REVISED TO
INCLUDE PROHIBITION OF PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF LAUREL STREET EAST OF
WARRIOR LANE.
Section 1.Purpose.The purpose of this ordinance is to prohibit parking on Laurel Street east of
Warrior lane so as to provide for safe passage along said public right-of-way.
Section 2.This ordinance shall provide for the deletion of Section 502.5 and placing in lieu thereof
the follow:
§502.5 No parking is permitted at any time on either side of the following east-west streets:
Ashworth Drive:
see §502.8
Cherry Street
Corene Avenue:
from First Street Place to Christopher Avenue
Laurel Street:
east of Warrior Lane

City Development Board's rezoning meeting.
