The May 24,1999 Special City Council Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Mayor
Donald L.Bailey,Jr.
Michelle Wearmourth spoke to the Council regarding standing water in her yard.The
Wearmouth's pumped 55,000 gallons of water out of their yard.John Gibson stated there
could be a tile along 6th Street broken during the Hwy 6 Reconstruction Project.This will
be investigated and the appropriate repairs will be made.The tile could be broken or
plugged.
Resolution No.99-53.Final Plat Approval-Southfork Woods.Kevin Crawford-
Bishop Engineering -Kohl's Development.Final plat of Southfork Woods.
Motion by Councilman Gruber,seconded by Councilman Lyon,to accept Resolution 99-
53 approving the final plat of Southfork Woods.The Mayor asked for a roll call vote:
Ayes:Gruber,Lyon,Peard,Heath and Berger.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 to O.
Resolution No.99-54.Public Hearing for FY 1998-1999 Budget Amendment.
Mayor opened the public hearing at 7 :28pm.
The Mayor asked if any comments pro or con have been received.Greg Fetterman,Asst.
Administrator,reported there were no comments pro or con received.)
\)The Mayor briefly reported the reasons for the budget amendment.
Joe Schmidt -would like to know what the total expenditures were last year and what is
projected for this coming year,
The Mayor closed the hearing at 7:40
Motion by Councilman Gruber,seconded by Councilman Berger,to accept Resolution
99-54 approving an amendment to the FY 1998-1999 budget for the City of Waukee.
The Mayor asked for a roll call vote:Ayes:Gruber,Berger,Heath,Peard,and Lyons.
Nays:None.Motion carried 5 to O.
..Adjournment.Motion by Councilman Peard,second by Councilwoman Heath.to
adjoum the meeting at 7:42pm.The Mayor asked r a voice vote.Mo ion carried .
