November 9,1999.IROLLCALL-Roll was taken and the following members were present:Bailey,Gruber,
Lyon,Peard,Berger,Heath.
CLOSED SESSION-Motion by Councilwoman Heath,seconded by Councilman Lyon
to enter into Closed Session Per Section 21.51 "to evaluate the professional competency
of an individual whose appointment,hiring,performance or discharge is to be considered
when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual's reputation
and that individual requests a closed session."The Mayor asked for a roll call vote:
Ayes:Heath,Lyon,Peard,Berger,and Gruber.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 to O.
Motioned by Peard,seconded by Lyon to go out of Closed Session.The Mayor asked for
a roll call vote:Ayes:Heath,Lyon,Berger,Heath,and Peard.Nays:None.Motion
carried 5 to O.
Motioned by Councilman Gruber,seconded by Councilman Lyon,to increase the City
Administrators salary from $62,400 to $64,300 per the employment agreement between
the City of Waukee and the City Administrator based on the finding of satisfactory
employment performance during the City Administrator's first six months of
employment.The Mayor asked for a roll call vote:Ayes:Gruber,Lyon,Peard,Heath,
and Berger.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 to O.
ADJOURNMENT -Motioned by Councilman Peard,seconded by Councilman Lyon,to
adjourn at 7:47PM.The Mayor asked for a voice vote.Motion carried 5 to O.
