SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 03,2003
Members of the Waukee City Council,Waukee Community Development Committee
and City staff gathered at City Hall Wednesday afternoon.Tom Dawson,Washington,
D.e.Consultant and guest,Nancy Payne,along with council members Nick Gruber,Bill
Peard,Don Bailey,Jr.,Community Development member Michelle Durand-Adams and
City Administrator Mark Arentsen toured the City of Waukee to view Downtown
Waukee,Residential Waukee,Potential Areas of Development and Current Areas of
Development in Waukee and in an area within two miles of the borders of Waukee.Mr.
Dawson and his guest were later entertained at a dinner held in his honor at the Shanghai
Restaurant.Those present for the dinner included all in attendance for the tour plus
Mayor Tony Oberman.
The purpose of the meeting was to extend the gratitude of the City of Waukee to Mr.
Dawson for the time spent with the Council and for information provided to the Council
during the Council's visit with him while participating in the June,2003 Greater DM
Partnership Annual Washington D.e.trip.
