RESOLUTION 19-254
APPROVING TEMPORARY STREET CLOSINGS AND TEMPORARY NO PARKING
DESIGNATIONS [HOME SHOW EXPO 20191
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the Home Builders Association of Des Moines will host their annual Home Show
Expo on July 13-28, 2019 in The Reserve at Daybreak subdivision in Waukee; AND,
WHEREAS, the Home Builders Association of Des Moines requests the following temporary
streets closures and no parking areas, beginning 7:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 and ending at
8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019:
• Street Closures: Sunflower Drive from 400 feet north of Daybreak Drive to Belmont
Boulevard, all of Century Circle and all of Belmond Boulevard;
• No Parking: the north side of Daybreak Drive, the west side of Scenic View Drive, the
west side of Crescent Ridge Drive and the west side of Sunflower Drive; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
81h day of July, 2019, that it hereby approves the temporary street closings and temporary no
parking designations for Home Show Expo 2019.
