SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 1,2005
(1)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order
by Mayor Oberman at 7:00 PM.
(2)Roll Call-The following members were present:Tony Oberman,Mayor,and
Council members Nicholas Gruber,Donald Bailey,Jr.,JeffY.Mertz and Darlene
Stanton.Bill Peard Absent.
(3)Agenda Approval-No changes.Jeff Mertz moved;Darlene Stanton second to
approve the agenda as written.Ayes:All.Nays:None.Absent:Peard.Motion carried 4
-0-1.
(4)Resolution:Setting February 14,2005 as the Date for a Public Hearing on a Golf
Course Revenue Loan Agreement in the Principal Amount of $950,000 and a General
Obligation Golf Course Loan Agreement in the Principal Amount of $700,000 Darlene
Stanton moved to approve the resolution.Jeff Mertz second.Roll call:Ayes:Stanton,
Mertz,Bailey,Gruber.Nays:None.Absent:Peard.Motion carried 4 -0 -1.
(5)Resolution:Consent to Assignment of and Amendment to Development Agreement
by and between the City of Waukee and J.Brick Commercial Park,L.L.C.Jeff Mertz
moved to approve the resolution.Nick Gruber second.Community Development
Director J ody Gunderson stated that with this resolution we are acknowledging the
council has qualified $363,000 as eligible for reimbursement and we are also
acknowledging along with Mr.Brick that those funds,as they come in,will be rebated to
William's Pointe Development II,L.C.Roll call:Ayes:Mertz,Gruber,Bailey,Stanton.
Nays:None.Absent:Peard.Motion carried 4 -0 -1.
(6)Discussiou:Proposed FY2006 Budget -continued from 01-24-05 Council members
thanked staff for preparing reports and answering questions with respect to the budget.
Brief discussion conceming the projection of overtime and the anticipated revenue
covering the overtime occurred.Council member Peard arrived during the discussion at
7:06PM.
At this time Mayor Oberman asked for a motion to adjoum.Nick Gruber moved.Don
Bailey,Jr.second.Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5-0.
Meeting Adjourned at 7:07 PM.
