SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 8,2005
(1)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order
hyMayor Oberman at 7:21 PM.
(2)Roll Call-The following members were present:Tony Oberman,Mayor,and
Council members Nicholas Gruber,Donald Bailey,Jr.and Bill Peard.Council members
Mertz and Stanton absent.
(3)Agenda Approval-No changes.Don Bailey,Jr.moved;Nick Gruber second to
approve the agenda as written.Ayes:Bailey,Gruber,Peard.Nays:None.Absent:
Mertz,Stanton.Motion carried 3 -0 -2.
(4)Resolntion:Approving Final Plat Grant Park Subdivision John Gibson distributed
the August 8,2005 Cleanup List for plat items which still need to be completed.The
developer is presenting a cash bond for $119,500 for some of the items remaining.Mr.
Gibson requested Council approve the Final Plat with the understanding that no
Certificates of Occupancy will be given,if the fiber and phone lines in the drainage swale
are not moved.Brief discussion.Don Bailey,Jr.moved to approve the resolution with
the understanding that no Certificates of Occupancy will be given,until the fiber and
phone lines in the drainage swale are moved.Bill Peard second.Roll call:Ayes:Bailey,
Peard,Gruber.Nays:None.Absent:Mertz,Stanton.Motion carried 3 -0 -2.
At this time Mayor Oberman asked for a motion to adjoum.Nick Gruber moved.Bill
Peard second.Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 3-0.
Meeting Adjourned at 7:27 PM.
