SPECIAL MEETING
OCTOBER 11,2005
(1)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order
by Mayor Pro Tern Jeff Mertz at 6:45 PM.
(2)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor Pro Tern JeffV.Mertz and
Council members Nicholas Gruber and Bill Peard.Mayor Tony Oberman and Council
members Don Bailey,Jr.and Darlene Stanton absent.
(3)Agenda Approval-No changes.Nick Gruber moved;Jeff Mertz second to approve
the agenda as written.Ayes:Gruber,Mertz,Peard.Nays:None.Absent:Don Bailey,Jr.
and Darlene Stanton.Motion carried 3 -0 -2.
(4)Resolution:Consideration of a Fireworks Permit for the Waukee High School
Band -pyrotechnics to be used during the high school band competition being held at
the Waukee High School Practice Footballfield,October 15,2005 Bill Peard moved to
approve the resolution.Jeff Mertz second.Roll call:Ayes:Peard,Mertz,Gruber.Nays:
None.Absent:Don Bailey,Jr.and Darlene Stanton.Motion carried 3 -0 -2.
Mayor Pro Tern asked for a motion to adjourn.Nick Gruber moved.Bill Peard second.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 3-0.
Meeting Adjourned at 6:48 PM.
