SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 29,2006
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor Peard
at 6:04p.m.
B)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor Peard and Council Members Bailey,Stanton,
Watts.Absent:Council Members McGee,Mertz.
C)Agenda Approval.Motion by Council Member Stanton,seconded by Council Member Bailey,to
approve the agenda with the removal of item F.Ayes:Stanton,Bailey,Watts.Nays:None.Motion
carried 3 -O.
D)RESOLUTION:Consideration of approval of Iowa State Recreational Trail Program grant
application-Motion by Council Member Watts,seconded by Council Member Stanton,to approve the
resolution.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Stanton,Bailey.Nays:None.Motion carried 3 -O.
E)MOTION:Consideration of approval of a Fireworks Permit Application for Matt Howell,525 SE
Prairie Creek Dr.,for a display on July 4,2006 between the hours of 8:00 p.m.and 12:00 p.m.-Becky
Schuett noted that the agenda contained an error,and that the hours requested were from 8:00 p.m.to
12:00 a.m.,not 12:00 p.m.Motion by Council Member Bailey,seconded by Council Member Stanton,to
approve the application.Roll call:Ayes:Bailey,Stanton,Watts.Nays:None.Motion carried 3 -O.
F)REMOVED FROM AGENDA
G)COMMENTS -None.
Adjournment.Motion by Council Member Bailey,seconded by Council Member Stanton,to adjourn.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 3 -O.
