SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 28,2006
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor Peard
at 2:32 p.m.
B)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard and Council Members Don
L.Bailey,Jr.;C.Isaiah McGee;JeffV.Mertz;Darlene Stanton.Absent:Mike Watts.(Council Member
Watts arrived at 2:45 p.m.)
C)Agenda Approval.Motion by Council Member Stanton,seconded by Council Member McGee,to
approve the agenda.Roll call:Ayes:Stanton,McGee,Bailey,Mertz,Nays:None.Motion carried 4 -O.
D)MOTION:Consideration of approval of a Class C Liquor License with Sunday Sales and Outdoor
Service Privileges for Triatomic,Inc.d/b/a The Bank -Motion by Council Member Stanton,seconded
by Council Member McGee,to approve the motion.Roll call:Stanton,McGee,Bailey,Mertz.Nays:
None.Motion carried 4 -O.
E)CLOSED SESSION-Motion by Council Member McGee,seconded by Council Member Mertz,to
close the regular session and open the closed session.Roll call:Ayes:McGee,Mertz,Bailey,Stanton.
Nays:None.Motion carried 4 -O.The Council entered closed session at 2:32 p.m.
Closed Session held pursuant to Iowa Code §21.5(l)(i)to evaluate the professional competency of
an individual whose appointment,hiring,performance or discharge is being considered when
necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual's reputation and that
individual requests a closed session -Council came out of closed session at 5:34 p.lll.
Adjournment.Motion by Council Member Mertz,seconded by Council Member McGee,to adjoum.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
