WAUKEE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
October 2,2006 J
(A)Call to Order -The regular meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by
Mayor Peard at 7:00 p.m.in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
(B)Pledge of Allegiance
(C)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council
Members Don L.Bailey,Jr.;C.Isaiah McGee;JeffV.Meltz;Darlene Stanton;Mike
Watts.Absent:None.
(D)Open Forum
(E)Agenda Approval-Motion by Council Member Stanton,seconded by Council Member
Mertz,to approve the agenda.Roll call:Ayes:Stanton,Mertz,Bailey,McGee,Watts.
Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
(F)Mayor's Report -Mayor Peard stated that he'd attended the Iowa League of Cities
Conference in Coralville,along with Council Member McGee,Interim City Administrator
Gibson,Director of Community Development Gunderson,and Director of Planning Deets.
He reported on the sessions in which he'd taken part during the conference and stated that
the conference had been very informative and worthwhile.

2)Resolution:Consideration of approval the preliminary plat for Williams Pointe Plat 13
-Motion by Council Member Mertz,seconded by Council Member Stanton,to approve
the resolution.Director of Planning Deets gave a brief overview of the project.Roll call:
Ayes:Mertz,Stanton,Bailey,McGee,Watts.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
3)Resolution:Consideration of approval of the construction drawings for Williams
Pointe Plat 13 -Motion by Council Member Stanton,seconded by Council Member
McGee,to approve the resolution.Director of Planning Deets gave a brief overview of
the project.Roll call:Ayes:Stanton,McGee,Bailey,Mertz,Watts.Nays:None.
Motion carried 5 -O.
(K)Reports -Reports were given by Interim City Administrator Gibson;Director of
Community Development Gunderson;Assistant Public Works Director Royer;City
Engineer Briedis;Council Member McGee.
Mayor Peard asked for a motion to adjourn,Motion by Council Member McGee,seconded by
Council Member Stanton.Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
