RESOLUTION 19-271
APPROVING IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AGREEMENT FOR AN
IOWA CLEAN AIR ATTAINMENT PROGRAM (ICAAP) FEDERAL AID SWAP PROJECT
[TRAFFIC SIGNAL ENHANCEMENTS PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act allows the Iowa Department of
Transportation to allocate funding to Transportation Alternative programs, including the Iowa Clean
Air Attainment Program (ICAAP); AND,
WHEREAS, the implementation of improvements to all traffic signals with the City of Waukee (the
"Project") has been identified as a project wherein improvements will contribute to meeting National
Ambient Air Quality Standards; AND,
WHEREAS, on September 17, 2018, the Waukee City Council approved an ICAAP application for
the Project (Resolution #18-375); AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee was awarded $1,075,000 in grant funding toward the Project through
ICAAP; AND,
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Transportation has submitted an Agreement for Iowa Clean Air
Attainment Program (ICAAP) Federal Aid Swap related to the Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 8t" day
of July, 2019, that it hereby approves the Iowa Department of Transportation Agreement for an Iowa
Clean Air Attainment Program (ICAAP) Federal Aid Swap Project [Traff�i ignal Enhancements
