WORK SESSION MEETING
JANUARY 29,2007
A)Call to Order -The work session meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 7 :00 p.m.in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
B)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Don L.
Bailey,Jr.;C.Isaiah McGee;JeffV.Mertz;Darlene Stanton,Mike Watts.Absent:None.
C)Agenda Approval.Motion by Council Member McGee,seconded by Council Member Walts,to
approve the agenda.Roll call:Ayes:McGee,Watts,Bailey,Stanton,Mertz.Nays:None.Motion carried
5-0.
D)Open Forum -Library Director Mack handed out a list of vision statements that were compiled
during the Waukee Public Library "Planning for Results"meeting of January 27.
E)Presentation:Quarterly Report/rom Waukee Fire Department-Fire Chief Robinson presented the
report.
F)Work Session:FY08 City Budget -Mayor,Council and City department heads discussed the
proposed FY08 budget.The Council directed City staff to make certain changes and agreed to discuss the
matter again in a work session to be held on Monday,February 5.
G)Comments.
Adjournment.Motion by Council Member Bailey,seconded by Council Member McGee,to adjourn.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
