SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 11,2008
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor Peard
at 7:07 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call-The following City Council members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council
Members Don L.Bailey,JI.;Casey L.Harvey;C.Isaiah McGee;Darlene Stanton.Absent:Council
Member Mike Watts.
C)Agenda Approval-Council Member McGee moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Stanton.Roll call:Ayes:McGee,Stanton,Bailey,Harvey.Nays:None.Absent:Watts.
Motion carried 4 -0 -1.
D)Resolution:Consideration of approval of a resolution fixing date for a meeting on the proposition
of the issuance of not to exceed $2,600,000 General Obligation Bonds of Waukee,Iowa,and providing
forpublication of notice thereof-Council Member Stanton moved to approve the resolution;seconded
by Council Member Harvey.City Administrator/Clerk Kooistra and Director of Finance Burkhart gave a
brief overview of the bond proposal.Roll call:Ayes:Stanton,Harvey,Bailey,McGee.Nays:None.
Absent:Watts.Motion carried 4 -0 -I.(Resolution #08-33)
E)Work Session:FY09 City Budget -City Council and department heads reviewed and discussed the
proposed budget for FY09.The Council requested additional funding be allocated to the Waukee Area
Chamber of Commerce.
F)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Bailey moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member McGee.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 4 -O.
