SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 20,2009
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 6:00 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members
Donald L.Bailey,Jr.;Casey L.Harvey;C.Isaiah McGee;Darlene Stanton.Absent:Council
Member Mike Watts.Also present:City Attomey Steve Brick.
C)Agenda Approval-Council Member Stanton moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member McGee.Roll call:Ayes:Stanton,McGee,Bailey,Harvey.Nays:None.Absent:Watts.
Motion carried 4 -0 -I.
D)CLOSED SESSION:Pursuant to Code of Iowa §21.5(l)(i)to evaluate the professional
competency of an individual whose appointment,hiring,performance or discharge is being
considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual and that
individual requests a closed session -Council Member Bailey moved to close the regular session
and enter closed session pursuant to Iowa Code §21.5(1)(i);seconded by Council Member McGee.
Roll call:Ayes:Bailey,McGee,Harvey,Stanton.Nays:None.Absent:Watts.Motion carried 4 -0
-I.Council entered closed session at 6:05 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION
Council entered regular session at 6:50 p.m.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member McGee moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Stanton.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 4 -O.
