SPECIAL MEETING
February 26,2010
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was calied to order by Mayor
Peard at 4:02 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call-The foliowing members were present:Mayor Wiliiam F.Peard;Council Members Shane
Blanchard,Dan Dutcher,Casey L.Harvey,Darlene Stanton,Mike Watts.Absent:None
Also present:City Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra,Director of Development Services Brad
Deets,Director of Public Works John Gibson,Deputy City Clerk Rebecca D.Schuett,City Attorney
Steve Brick.
C)Agenda Approval -Council Member Watts moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Stanton.Roli cali:Ayes:Watts,Stanton,Dutcher,Harvey,Blanchard.Nays:None.Motion
carried 5 -O.
D)CLOSED SESSION:Pursuant to Code of Iowa §21.5(1)(c)to discuss strategy with Counsel in
matters where litigation is eminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or
disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation -Council Member Watts
moved to close the regular session and enter closed session pursuant to Iowa Code §21.5(1 )(c);
seconded by Council Member Harvey.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Harvey,Blanchard,Stanton,Dutcher.
Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.Council entered closed session at 4:03 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION
Council entered regular session at 4:40 p.m.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Harvey moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Stanton.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
