WORK SESSION MEETING
April 21,2010
A)Call to Order -The work session meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 5:17 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Shane
Blanchard,Dan Dutcher,Casey L.Harvey,Darlene Stanton,Mike Watts.Absent:None
Also present:City Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra,Jeff Schott of the Iowa Institute of Public
Affairs
C)Agenda Approval -Council Member Watts moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Stanton.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Stanton,Blanchard,Dutcher,Harvey.Nays:None.Motion
carried 5 -O.
D)Work Session:Mayor,Council roles and responsibilities -Session facilitated by Mr.Schott.
Those areas discussed in detail were the local leadership team,City organization,citizens,
community leadership organizations,and regional,state and federal relationships.Mr.Schott will
develop a report based on Council discussion,which will be distributed at a later date.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Dutcher moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Stanton.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
