SPECIAL MEETING
July 21,2010
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 4:07 p.m.in Waukee City Hall.
B)Roll Call -The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members
Shane Blanchard,Dan Dutcher,Casey L.Harvey,Darlene Stanton,Mike Watts.Absent:None.
Also present:City Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra,City Attorney Steve Brick.
C)Agenda Approval-Council Member Watts moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Stanton.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Stanton,Blanchard,Dutcher,Harvey.Nays:None.
Motion carried 5 -O.
D)CLOSED SESSION:Pursuant to Code of Iowa §21.5(1)(i)to evaluate the professional
competency of an individual whose appointment,hiring,performance or discharge is
being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that
individual and that individual requests a closed session -Council Member Watts moved to
close the regular session and enter closed session pursuant to Iowa Code §21.5(1 )(i);seconded
by Council Member Stanton.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Stanton,Blanchard,Dutcher,Harvey.Nays:
None.Motion carried 5 -O.Council entered closed session at 4:11 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION
Council entered regular session at 5:32 p.m.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Stanton moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Watts.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
