SPECIAL MEETING
December 3,2010
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Pro Tern Stanton at 5:01 p.m.in Waukee City Hall.
S)Roll Call -The following members were present:Council Members Dan Dutcher,Casey L.
Harvey,Darlene Stanton,Mike Watts (via telephone).Absent:Mayor William F.Peard,Council
Member Shane Blanchard.
Also present:City Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra,Director of Development Services Brad
Deets,Deputy City Clerk Rebecca D.Schuett,City Attorney Steve Brick,Attorney Ed Remsberg.
C)Agenda Approval -Council Member Harvey moved to approve the agenda;seconded by
Council Member Dutcher.Roll call:Ayes:Harvey,Dutcher,Watts,Stanton.Nays:None.
Absent:Blanchard.Motion carried 4 -0 -1.
D)CLOSED SESSION:Pursuant to Code of Iowa §21.5(1)(c)to discuss strategy with Counsel
in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where its
disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental
body in that litigation -Council Member Watts moved to close the regular session and enter
closed session pursuant to Iowa Code §21.5(1 )(c);seconded by Council Member Dutcher.Roll
call:Ayes'Watts,Dutcher,Harvey,Stanton.Nays:None.Absent:Blanchard.Motion carried 4-
0-1.Council entered closed session at 5:03 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION (Council Member Watts ended participation via telephone at 5:11 p.m.)
Council entered regular session at 5:16 p.m.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Dutcher moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Harvey.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 3 -O.
