SPECIAL MEETING
January 31,2011
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 5:34 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call -The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Shane
Blanchard,Dan Dutcher,Casey L.Harvey,Darlene Stanton,Mike Watts.Absent:None
Also present:City Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra,Assistant to the City Administrator
McKinlee Gibson,Director of Finance Linda Burkhart,Director of Development Services Brad Deets,
Assistant Director of Public Works Tim Royer,Parks and Recreation Director Matt Jermier,Library
Director Maryann Mori,Police Chief Larry J.Phillips,Fire Chief Clint Robinson.
C)Agenda Approval -Council Member Stanton moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Harvey.Roll call:Ayes:Stanton,Harvey,Blanchard,Dutcher,Watts.Nays:None.Motion
carried 5 -O.
D)Resolution:Consideration of approval of a RISE grant application related to the Alice's Road
Corridor,Ashworth Road to University Avenue -Council Member Watts moved to approve the
resolution;seconded by Council Member Blanchard.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Blanchard,Dutcher,
Harvey,Stanton.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.(Resolution #11-20)
D)Work Session:FY2012 City Budget -The Council and department heads reviewed and discussed
line items within the proposed budget for FY2012.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Watts moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Stanton.Ayes:
All.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
