SPECIAL MEETING
June 27,2011
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 5:30 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Shane
Blanchard,Dan Dutcher,Casey L.Harvey,Darlene Stanton,Mike Watts.Absent:None
C)Agenda Approval -Council Member Watts moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Harvey.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Harvey,Blanchard,Dutcher,Stanton.Nays:None.Motion
carried 5 -O.
D)Motion:Consideration of approval of setting July 25,2011,as the date of public hearing on
an ordinance to amend Chapter 301,Waukee Municipal Code,Zoning Ordinance of the City
of Waukee,Iowa,by rezoning and changing certain property therein from R-1 [Single Family
Residential District]and PD-1 [Planned Development Overlay District]to R-4 [Row Dwelling
and Townhome Dwelling District]and PD-1 [planned Development Overlay District](a portion
of the Glynn Village Planned Development)-Council Member Watts moved to approve the
motion;seconded by Council Member Dutcher.Roll call:Ayes:Watts,Dutcher,Blanchard,Harvey,
Stanton.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -o.
E)Ordinance:Consideration of approval of an ordinance to amend Chapter 203,Waukee
Municipal Code,by repealing the existing rates for water and enacting new rates as specified
[third (final)reading]-Council Member Harvey moved to approve the third reading in title only and
place the ordinance on final passage;seconded by Council Member Stanton.Roll call:Ayes:
Harvey,Stanton,Blanchard,Dutcher,Watts.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -o.The ordinance was
read in title only;Mayor Peard declared the ordinance duly adopted.(Ordinance #2697)
F)Ordinance:Consideration of approval of an ordinance to amend Chapter 204,Waukee
Municipal Code,by repealing the existing rates for sewer and enacting new rates as specified
[third (final)reading]-Council Member Watts moved to approve the third reading in title only and
place the ordinance on final passage;seconded by Council Member Dutcher.Roll call:Watts,
Dutcher,Blanchard,Harvey,Stanton.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -o.The ordinance was read
in title only;Mayor Peard declared the ordinance duly adopted.(Ordinance #2698)
G)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Stanton moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Harvey.
