WORK SESSION MEETING
November 14,2011
A)Call to Order -The work session meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 5:30 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call-The foilowing members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Shane
Bianchard,Dan Dutcher,Casey L.Harvey,Mike Watts;Council Member Elect Shelly Hughes.
Absent:None
Also present:City Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra,Assistant to the City Administrator
McKiniee Gibson,Director of Finance Linda Burkhart,Director of Deveiopment Services Brad Deets,
Director of Pubiic Works John Gibson,Assistant Director of Public Works Tim Royer,Parks and
Recreation Director Matt Jermier,Library Director Erik Surber,Police Chief Larry J.Phillips,Fire
Chief Ciint Robinson.
C)Agenda Approval -Council Member Harvey moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Bianchard.Roil call:Ayes:Harvey,Blanchard,Harvey,Watts.Nays:None.Motion carried
4-0.
D)Work Session:Budget Development and Goals -The Council and department heads reviewed
and discussed the proposed budget and capital improvement projects for FY2013.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Meeting Adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
