(8)Pledge of Allegiance (C)Roll Call -The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Shane Blanchard,Casey L.Harvey,Mike Watts.Absent:Council Members Dan Dutcher,Shelly Hughes. (F)Mayor's Report -Mayor Peard spoke about his eagerness and expectations for his new term as mayor. (G)Presentations: 1)Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization on The Tomorrow Plan -Zach Young with the MPO presented the history and scope of the project,noting that the plan is currently at the end of Phase 2 of five phases.Council Member Harvey stated that growth is based on market conditions and asked if the plan addressed sustainability and [and use;Mr. Young replied that the plan would look at both issues and development codes and that the plan was intended to address,not limit,growth.
