(A)Call to Order -The regular meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 5:33 p.m.in the Council Chambers at City Ha[1.

(F)Mayor's Report -Mayor Peard spoke about his eagerness and expectations for his new term
as mayor.
(G)Presentations:
1)Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization on The Tomorrow Plan -Zach
Young with the MPO presented the history and scope of the project,noting that the plan is
currently at the end of Phase 2 of five phases.Council Member Harvey stated that growth is
based on market conditions and asked if the plan addressed sustainability and [and use;Mr.
Young replied that the plan would look at both issues and development codes and that the
plan was intended to address,not limit,growth.

agreement.Council Member Harvey questioned a provision in the agreement related to
construction bids received at less than 90%of the cost of the project;Mr.Surber replied that
