(B)Pledge of Allegiance (C)Roll Call-The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Shane Blanchard,Dan Dutcher,Casey L.Harvey,Shelly Hughes,Mike Watts.Absent:None. Also present:City Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra,Assistant to the City Administrator McKinlee Gibson,Director of Public Works John Gibson,Assistant Director of Public Works Tim Royer,Director of Development Services Brad Deets,City Planner Ben Landhauser,Fire Chief Clint Robinson,Deputy City Clerk Rebecca D.Schuett,City Engineer Forrest Aldrich,City Attorney Steve Brick. (D)Open Forum (E)Agenda Approval -Council Member Harvey moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council Member Dutcher.Results of vote:Ayes:Blanchard,Dutcher,Harvey,Hughes,Watts. (F)Mayor's Report -Mayor Peard announced Ann Jordan Strong as 2011 Waukee Citizen of the Year.On 04/02,Mayor Peard and City staff took Congressman Leonard Boswell on a tour of Waukee facilities and hosted a small reception in honor of his visit.Mayor Peard attended the 04/04 WEDCO Board Meeting and the 04/07 Easter Egg Hunt at Centennial Park.On 04/12,he met with the Citizen of the Year Selection Committee and spoke at the WEDCO Alice's Road Corridor open house.Mayor Peard will attend the MPO Policy Committee meeting on 04/19 and the Waukee Rotary Club auction at Shottenkirk Chevrolet on 04/21. (G)Presentations: 1)Waukee Fire Department quarterly report -Report made by Fire Chief Clint Robinson. (H)Public Hearings: 1)On the adoption of plans,specifications,form of contract and estimate of cost of construction (Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Project)-Mayor Peard opened the public hearing and asked if any written correspondence had been received;City Administrator/Clerk Kooistra replied in the negative.No comments were made by the public present.Mayor Peard declared the public hearing closed. 2)On the issuance of not to exceed $6,900,000 General Obligation Bonds,Series 2012 (for Essential Corporate Purposes)of the City of Waukee,State of Iowa -Mayor Peard opened the public hearing and asked if any written correspondence had been received;City Administrator/Clerk Kooistra replied in the negative.No comments were made by the public present.Mayor Peard declared the public hearing closed. 3)On the issuance of not to exceed $650,000 of General Obligation Bonds (for General Corporate Purposes)-Mayor Peard opened the public hearing and asked if any written correspondence had been received;City Administrator/Clerk Kooistra replied in the negative. No comments were made by the public present.Mayor Peard declared the public hearing closed. (I)Public Hearing Action Items: 1)Resolution:Consideration of approval of a resolution adopting plans,specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost (Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Project)- Council Member Blanchard moved to approve the resolution;seconded by Council Member Harvey.Director of Development Services Deets briefly reviewed the project.Results of vote:Ayes:Blanchard,Dutcher,Harvey,Hughes,Watts.Nays:None.Motion carried 5 -O.
